Smart Home Leak Detection And Water Shut Off
The Smart Way to Protect Your Home From Water Damage
Water damage can be devastating in a home for many reasons. Not only can uncontained water destroy valuable property, it can also create ideal conditions for the growth of unhealthy mold in your home.
Non weather related water damage is the second most common type of insurance claim for homeowners — so common, in fact, that major insurance providers recommend installing water leak detection equipment in your home. Installing a smart home water leak detection system is the most reliable way to get peace of mind that your home and valuable possessions will be protected from water events.

Water Leaks by the Numbers
Just place a DROP Leak Detector under sinks and dishwashers, behind toilets or washing machines, near your water heater, or anywhere that water might leak or collect. Each unit contains a smart water sensor that detects the presence of even small amounts of spilled or leaking water.
When this happens, the DROP Leak Detector instantly sends a signal via DROP Link low frequency radio to the DROP Hub, the central controller of the smart home leak detection system. From there, you will receive an alert through the DROP App, email, or text message so you will know immediately what is occurring.
As soon as a leak is detected, the DROP water monitoring system can be programmed to automatically shut off the water to your home through a DROP water treatment device or home protection valve. In addition, the DROP will use the drain function of your water softener unit as a smart water valve to immediately drain your plumbing system. That way, you’ll avoid the continued spraying and flooding that can happen even after water is shut off due to pressure remaining in the system.
Never Deal with Water Leaks Again
When you are able to deal with the leak, you will know exactly where to look. Unlike water leak detection equipment that relies on water pressure monitoring alone, DROP will indicate exactly where the source of the problem occurred in your home.
